Starting from February 2020, the Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann welcomes the prestigious FERRANDI Paris school for exclusive “Chef’s Secrets” culinary workshops in the heart of the Galeries Lafayette Maison & Gourmet. It’s the best way to learn best practices to cook French cuisine!
FERRANDI Paris School
Founded in 1920, the FERRANDI Paris school prepares trainees for careers in high cuisine and hotel management. Galeries Lafayette has invited this prestigious school to host « Chefs’ Secrets », a series of workshops designed to teach you how to whip up classic dishes worthy of the fanciest restaurants. I enjoyed one of those workshops dedicated to the duck breast. I loved the quality of the tips provided, the bright area to cook and the group spirit which provides good energy to develop creativity! After the workshop, you taste your meal together with the group and you go back home with the detailed recipe!
Recipes for everyone
Three classes are proposed : « Chef’s secrets » to learn how to cook emblematic dishes, « Baker’s secrets » to learn more about french pastries and « Secrets for Little Chefs » for children. Classes are in French or English according to the time slot, bookings have to be made on the Galeries Lafayette website (lesson from 110€).
